Low Iron Tempered Glass

Low Iron Tempered Glass, also known as ultra-clear tempered glass, is a special type of treated glass. Ultra-clear glass contains fewer impurities, has a more homogeneous composition than ordinary glass, and is more stable than ordinary glass in physical properties. The self-explosion rate of ultra-clear glass tempered is about 0.01% (1/10,000), which is much lower than 0.3% (3/1000) of ordinary tempered glass, which greatly improves safety.

Once tempered glass is broken, it cannot be repaired like ordinary glass and needs to be replaced as a whole.

During design and processing, rapid temperature changes should be avoided to prevent the glass from exploding.

Ultra-clear tempered glass can be subjected to various deep processing like other float glasses, such as tempering, bending, laminating, hollow assembly, etc. The superior visual performance of ultra-clear glass will greatly improve the functional and decorative effect of these processed glasses. 1. High transparency: The low iron content makes the glass extremely transparent, and the light transmittance is higher than that of ordinary float glass, which is suitable for occasions with special requirements for lighting.

2. Color consistency: Due to the reduced influence of iron elements, the color of low-iron tempered glass is more consistent, without the common green or blue deviation of ordinary glass.

3. High strength: After tempering, the mechanical strength and impact resistance of the glass are significantly improved, which is 4-5 times that of ordinary glass.

4. Safety: When ultra-white tempered glass is broken, the fragments are small particles with blunt angles, which are not easy to hurt people and meet the standards of safety glass.

5. Heat shock resistance: Tempered glass can withstand large temperature changes and is suitable for environments with large temperature differences.

6. Processability: It can be processed by cutting, drilling, edge grinding, etc., to meet different design requirements.
